Free web hit traffic counter that donates to local charities

Frequently Asked Questions

Commonly asked questions about the web hit counter and the charities.

Is the counter free?
Absolutely! CharityCounter does not charge to use the counter.

What styles do you offer?
You can customize your counter's color, font, whether you want to include a charity, and even what number at which the counter begins. CharityCounter offers a uniquely customizable counter to best fit your web page design.

How do I create a counter?
Just go to "Build My Counter" and use the form. You will see a preview of the counter when you get the code.

Can I alter the HTML code provided?
If you alter the HTML code in any way, the counter will be disabled. To keep the counter active, the code you are given must not be changed.

Do I have to choose a charity?
You can choose to include a charity (meaning they will get a donation for you having a counter with their logo). If you do not want a logo over your counter, then feel free to not choose a charity. That is the advantage of CharityCounter's web counter!

Can I support a charity and not have their logo on the counter?
No. The logo is how others know you support the charity. Besides, what better way to encourage others to support that same charity than by promoting them with their logo. This is service we provide to the participating charities.

Does it cost a charity anything to signup to be included?
No. Charities can sign up for free. There is no obligation on their part. Our mission is to help the charities, not take from them. To include your charity, just fill out this simple form and provide your charity's information.

Will all charities be treated equally?
Yes. CharityCounter determines what rate will be donated per counter. That rate is the same for all charities. No charity will be treated less favorably, rather, all will be given equal treatment by CharityCounter. To increase the overall donations to a charity, more counters with that charity's logo must be created.
